the night before…

so here i am! one year of classes down, two summers and two semesters to go until i can sit for the RD (registered dietitian) exam.
tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., natalie, my fellow UNC intern, and i are meeting with the UNC Hospital dietitians for our DI (dietetic internship) orientation.
i’ll be at UNC from may 12 – august 1, 2008 learning the ins and outs of being a clinical dietitian. since UNC’s masters of public health program is a coordinated program, there are two summers of internships: this summer is the clinical dietetics portion and next summer will be all about public health.
rotations i’m hoping to complete this summer: general med, pediatrics, obstetrics, lactation, possibly the child neurology clinic, cardiology…
also, i’ll be working as a nutritionist/counselor at Camp Carolina Trails from june 14-21 near Hanging Rock State Park as part of the internship, which promises be fun. and informative. and humid.
